Description
It travels through seven lagoons of glacial origin at the foot of the majestic snowy Ausangate.
The Tour 7 Lagunas de Ausangate is one of the best nature and hiking experiences in Cusco. This full-day hike takes you to the lagoons formed by the melting of snowy Ausangate, the most sacred mountain of the Vilcanota Mountain Range and one of the highest in Peru.
During the tour you will discover lagoons of different shades, surrounded by snowy mountains, bofedales and high Andean fauna such as alpacas, llamas and vizcachas. The route offers spectacular scenery and a less crowded experience than other popular treks in the region. At the end of the walk, you will have the opportunity to relax in the thermal waters of Pacchanta (optional).

Detailed Itinerary
Pick up in Cusco
Pick up from historic downtown hotels between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m.
Travel to Pacchanta
We will travel approximately 3 hours to the community of PacchantaPacchanta, located more than 4,200 m s. n.m., where we will enjoy a breakfast before starting the walk.
Start of Trekking
We will begin a circular walk of approximately 5 to 6 hours, touring the seven lagoons fed by the Ausangate glaciers.
During the tour we will visit:
- Pucacocha
- Patacocha
- Alacocha
- Qomercocha
- Roach
- Otorongo Macho
- Female Otorongo
In addition, we will enjoy constant views of the snowy Ausangate and the Vilcanota Mountain Range.
Pacchanta hot springs (optional)
At the end of the trek you can relax in the natural hot springs of Pacchanta before lunch.
Optional and not included income.
Lunch
We will enjoy a prepared lunch with local products before starting the return to Cusco.
