Detailed Itinerary
04:00 – 04:30 | Hotel Pickup in Cusco
Our adventure starts early in the morning with a convenient pickup directly from your centrally located hotel in Cusco’s historical center.
Drive to Mollepata & Breakfast
We will travel for approximately two hours through the mountains to the town of Mollepata, where we will stop to enjoy a warm, nutritious breakfast to build up energy for the trek.
Soraypampa Basecamp
After breakfast, we continue driving to Soraypampa, located at approximately 3,900 meters (12,795 feet) above sea level, which serves as the trailhead for our hike.
Trek to Humantay Lake
The uphill hike takes between 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group’s overall pace. As you ascend, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the snow-capped Humantay and Salkantay mountains.
Optional Horse Rental: For travelers who wish to reduce the physical effort, horse-riding services can be hired on-site directly from local community members at the trailhead.
Humantay Lake (The Summit)
Upon arrival, you will have plenty of free time to:

17:30 – 18:00 | Arrival in Cusco
After an unforgettable day of mountain trekking, we return to Cusco, dropping you off near the historical city center.

Important Information
- Altitude Acclimatization: We highly recommend staying at least 2 days in Cusco before taking this tour to properly acclimate to the high altitude.
